Bitcoin VS Ethereum: Know the Difference

Keep an eye out for these coins.

It's the final week of the year, and the crypto market is finishing 2022 on a slightly weak note, as is customary. There were brief periods when the asset class broke into an upward trend, but Bitcoin is currently trading just above $16,000 support levels. The market is slowly recovering, though some tokens are clearly outperforming the overall market.

We look at Helium (HNT), Cronos (CRO), THORChain (RUNE), Ampleforth (AMPL), and iExec RLC this week (RLC). We chose these assets based on a number of factors, including positive technical developments, significant news events, and price changes.

KEY LESSONS

• The Helium (HNT) coin's market capitalization increased by about 12%, owing to its upcoming migration to the Solana blockchain in Q1 2023.
• The Ampleforth (AMPL) token increased by about 21% after ImmuneFi implemented a bug bounty program for its SPOT token.
• The value of iExec RLC (RLC) increased by approximately 17% after the company issued the first batch of its Worker Pass non-fungible tokens (NFTs).

Helium (HNT)

This week's big gainer was the Helium project and its HNT token. HNT's market cap has increased by more than 11% in the last seven days as a result of the company's impending move to the Solana network, which is scheduled for Q1 2023. The increase could help the project's ecosystem grow.

The transition was first announced in September. Helium is a wireless hotspot project that could use Solana's cellphone. The HNT token is currently worth around $1.87. (see chart below).

Cronos (CRO)

Cronos (CRO), Crypto.com's newly rebranded token, had a good week as well. The project's market cap increased by approximately 7% after its team held an ecosystem update session involving BubbleSwap, CroSwap, and Transak. The CRO token started at 5.5 cents last week and is now worth around 5.9 cents.

THORChain (RUNE)

The market cap of THORChain's RUNE token increased by about 7% after its team noticed that the platform's savings vaults were getting significantly more use. The fact that crypto users are shifting to decentralized platforms in the aftermath of the FTX crash most likely played a role.

Rune was priced around $1.29 seven days ago and is now worth around $1.39.

Ampleforth (AMPL)

Ampleforth's AMPL token increased by about 21% after its team launched a bug bounty program on ImmuneFi for its SPOT token. The latter is a new token that "is a perpetual wrapper that abstracts AMPL's supply volatility from holders," according to Ampleforth.

AMPL was trading at around $1.06 last week, and it is now worth around $1.28.

iExec RLC (RLC)

The value of iExec RLC's RLC token increased by about 17% after its team released the first NFT in the Worker Pass series. Users can earn RLC tokens by gaining access to a public Workerpool, thanks to the new feature.

Last week, the RLC token was $1.13 and is now trading around $1.32.
